Cette semaine était folle. Quand j’ai arrivé à Paris, immédiatement j’ai vu une différence. On a pris le train à Paris avec Dr. Gall, c’était beaucoup des gens dans le train. Tout le monde prend le train et le métro aller au travail et autres choses quotidien. Quand le groupe est arrivé, nous sommes allés à la classe immédiatement. Nous sommes arrivés au déjeuner alors je suis allé au Franprix (un supermarché très commun) et j’ai acheté une baguette, d’houmous et un vin. Ce n’est pas un problème ici. Il n’y a pas un âge qu’on n’achète pas d’alcool.  Alors, on peut dépenser beaucoup d’argent aussi. Paris est très cher ! La première nuit, nous sommes sorti trois fois. J’ai dépensé 30 euros après la journée a fini. C’était presque 50 dollars. Quelquefois je pense les euros ont dépensé bien mais autrefois je pense que les expériences gratuites sont les mieux.
J’étais à Paris depuis presque une semaine et j’ai fait beaucoup des choses. Je n’ai pas les temps écrire tous mes expériences déjà. Je suis allé à la Notre Dame ; j’ai passé des temps aux cafés ; je suis allé à deux musées (Le Louvre et La publicité) et j’ai parlé aux personnes français (mais très mal). Comme mon camarade de classe, Bridget a dit, « Paris est les seins. »

This week was crazy. When I arrived in Paris, I saw a difference immediately. We took the train to Paris with Dr. Gall was a lot of people on the train. Everybody takes the train and subway to go to work and other daily things. When the group arrived, we went to the class immediately. We arrived at lunch so I went to Franprix (a very common supermarket) and bought a baguette, hummus and wine. This is not a problem here. There is no age that does not buy alcohol. So we can spend lots of money too. Paris is very expensive! The first night we went out three times. I spent 30 euros after the day ended. It was almost 50 dollars. Sometimes I think the euro well spent but sometimes I think are the best free experience. 


I was (have been) in Paris for almost a week and did a lot of things. I do not have time to write all my experiences already. I went to Notre Dame, I spent time in cafés, I went to two museums (the Louvre and advertising) and I spoke French people (but very badly). As my classmate, Bridget said, "Paris is the breasts. "

Hier j'ai retrouvé mes camarades de classe à la porte d'embarquement à Atlanta; nous sommes contente et préparé à quitter Les États-Unis mais nous avons dû passer par Philadelphia avant Paris. C'était quand les problèmes ont commencé. Le mauvais temps au dessus de Philadelphia a retardé notre vol. Alors, le vol à Paris a manque à nous par 20 min. Triste, nous avons parlé avec un agent de US Airways et elle nous a donné deux chambres au Skyview Plaza près de l'aeroport. Le vue de Philadelphia était superbe, le décor était superbe aussi! Il venais du film Scarface. Aprés nous étions à l'aise, nous avons mangé au Prinrose ou le Pinerose, je ne sais quoi. Il était mieux que nous nous sommes attendu. Ensuite, nous nous avons parlé jusqu'a 1h30 en matin. On s'est bien amusé. Demain, finalement, on part à Paris (encore).

Yesterday I met my classmates at the gate in Atlanta and we are pleased and prepared to leave the United States but we had to go through Philadelphia before Paris. That was when the problems started. Bad weather over Philadelphia has delayed our flight. Then the flight to Paris was missing us by 20 min. Sad, we talked with an officer of US Airways and she gave us two rooms at Skyview Plaza near the airport. The view of Philadelphia was superb, the decor was superb too! It was from the film Scarface. After we were comfortable, we ate at Prinrose ou le Pinerose, I do not know what. It was better than we expected. Then wetalked until 1:30 in the morning. We had fun. Tomorrow, finally, we went to Paris (again).

This will be my only post in real English.

I created this blog to document my stay in France, namely, Paris, where I'm going to stay with my fellow Tech students for the next six weeks studying French to work towards my minor (as requirement of the International plan; if you're going to Tech, you should check it out.) I'll be going to restaurants, shops, places of interest around Paris with plenty of pictures to come.

Here on out, this blog will not only to showcase my measly French skills but improve them at the same time and you, the reader will hopefully learn along with me. "Literal Translation" is exactly that, all English in following posts will be literal translations from Google translator, thus it will be positively eloquent.

So let's go! or "Allons-y!" (Mmmm, your first tasty bit-o-French honey).
